Brad Pitt Saves Woman On World War Z Set
Is there anything Brad Pitt can't do? The 47-year-old actor, who is among the biggest names in Hollywood, is currently in Glasgow, Scotland, shooting the film adaptation of the satirical Max Brooks novel World War Z. And while he may be saving the world from the undead in the film's fiction world, in real life he saved a woman from a potentially harsh fate.
More than 700 extras were packed into George Square, filming what must be epic scenes of the zombie invasion. During one of the shoots, a female extra slipped amid the trampling crowd. It could've meant certain death in such a chaotic situation, but Pitt swooped in and scooped the woman up. No words were exchanged during the shoot (which makes me wonder if it'll make it into the film), but afterwards the woman expressed her gratitude, despite being slightly banged up.
I've never really given it any thought, but it's easy to see how a scene with hundreds of people involved could easily lead to accidents and those accidents going relatively unnoticed. Thankfully we have real life action heroes like Pitt who remain ever-vigilant, even among hordes of the bloodthirsty undead.
Pitt, his partner Angelina Jolie, and their six kids have been staying at a country estate in Scotland and will likely stay until shooting wraps up in a few weeks.
