Today Movie-Vault has a bargain alert for you. Muahaha! There is a charming 5 bedroom Dutch Colonial style home located at 112 ocean avenue Amityville, New York with an asking price of $1.15 million USD. Muahaha!
What? Who’s doing that evil laugh? The house has appeared in several movies as itself and that’s why this listing is appearing here on a movie related news story.
Of course by now true horror fans know that this is the infamous house from The Amityville Horror movies and murders.
The reason for the high asking price is because of a series of renovations that have been made to the infamous house. To see it in it's present state Google Maps the address above and zoom in to street view. The Christmas wreath is a nice creepy touch. Thanks for that Googel Maps. :) Muahaha! Who keeps laughing?

I don't see why they don't turn it into a tourist attraction. Imagine all the $ that placed could bring! I think it's in a gated community or that area prefers it's privacy. It's one of those horror movie places that is instantly recognizable, like Michael Myers house. It'd be a good place to have screenings of the movie. Imagine watching Amityville Horror in the house in which it was filmed!
