Michael Douglas Attends Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps Premiere In NYC!

Michael Douglas (Wall Street, Disclosure) attended the red carpet Premiere of his latest film Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps in New York City. While he didn't give interviews he did pose for photos with his co-stars Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan and director Oliver Stone who had this to say "It's a struggle, it's tough, but Douglas is fighting"

LaBeouf calls the 65-year-old Douglas a "wolf." He notes Douglas showed no signs of weakness while making the "Wall Street" sequel, which opens Friday.

Stone also directed Douglas in the original 1987 hit Wall Street which also co-starred Charlie Sheen as a stockbroker hungry for success, money and power, along with his father Martin Sheen who ironically play father and son onscreen. Michael Douglas plays the ruthless Gordon Gekko who will do anything for more money and more power. Douglas won an Oscar for the portrayal of the corporate financial whiz with no morale.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for Michael Douglas so we can see Wall Street 3! Feel free to discuss this in our Movie-Vault Forums.

Hurray for Michael Douglas! It was promising that he chose to appear to support the film and be seen - we all know how quickly the media can put some celebs in the grave prematurely when they opt to keep away from the camera. I haven't seen WS2 but will, of course. I'ts Oliver Stone and Michael Douglas together. I just hope laBeouf doesn't muck this one up!
