He will play a U.S. Army Colonial Chester Phillips Marvel Studios has confirmed. In the comics the Col recruited Steve Rogers into the program that covered for the secret experiment that creates Captain America via the Super Soldier serum. Though the character will be “updated” (scary sounding as we know how the movies could mess up a good thing ala Catwoman). Tommy Lee joins his fellow cast of : Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Dominic Cooper & Stanley Tucci as they star in the highly-anticipated big-screen adaptation of Captain America.

Paramount will release "Captain America" on July 22, 2011.

In other comic-book Marvel movie news according to Deadline Hollywood and Alice Eve (“She’s Out Of My League”) is in negotiations to play the X-Men character bad-girl turned X-Man Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class, a prequel of sorts based on the comics of the same name. Overall, I’d say this is all good news, though some comic-book geeks (not yours-truly) are calling her a butterface. Wonder what they consider beautiful. In 2005 Emma Frost was voted Hottest Comic Book Babe in one poll. Eve joins James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, previously set as lead mutants Xavier and Magneto.
