Spider No More, Spiderman is Dead!

Waaaah! Spiderman 4 has been scrubbed! And by scrubbed I mean scrubbed clean of everything that came before it and is now headed for a fresh start with a new director and a new cast. Whoa! My Spidey senses didn’t see that one coming.

Yes, it’s official,  not a rumor, not a hoax. No more Toby Mcguire, no more Sam Rami. "Working on the 'Spider-Man' movies was the experience of a lifetime for me. While we were looking forward to doing a fourth one together, the studio and Marvel have a unique opportunity to take the franchise in a new direction, and I know they will do a terrific job." Said ex-Spidey-director Sam Raimi speaking at a recent press conference.

 The original writer of Spiderman 4, James Vanderbilt, remains with the project except now the story is a reimagining of the Spiderman origin with Petey back in high school. No idea on who the new director or the new Spidey will be yet.
