MoVa's LIVE Golden Globe Coverage

The second-biggest awards night of the season (behind the Oscars, of course) are tonight, and MoVa's own Greg Clark (that wold be moí) will be doing a live coverage from his cozy living room. Normally, the Globes are like a Mini-Oscar, being a lot more glitzy and a lot more willing to whore itself to the highest bidder, as well as nominate pretty much anyone who was in a hit movie in the past year (Jim Carrey got nominated for the bastardization that was The Grinch?!), but hopefully the accelerated awards season will allow for performances to speak more than the Hollywood machine's yelling. So, open up two windows: One for this page and one for the message boards to discuss your thoughts in. Who will walk away with the big prizes? Who will find their awards-whoring didn't pay off? When will Joan Rivers' lips swallow her face whole? Here are the nominees for the 61st Golden Globe awards, comments to be updated as people win:

YES! That's all that I can say that adequetly describes how happy I am right now. And Weinstien looks pissed that his Big Important Movie didn't beat the Film He Let Get Away. Oh well. May the best film win. For once.

First off, what the hell happened to Jim Carrey's head? Also, this is between Nemo and Translation. I could live with either, but I'd rather LiT win. YAY! Lost in Traslation! Sofia! Scarlett! Bill! Ahhh! This is so great!

Yay for Sean Penn, although I would have loved to see how things go between Cruise and Kidman. And...hey! That's not Sean! Oh well, Clint'll do any day of the week. I could listen to this guy all day and never be bored.

Renée takes it, no surprise. She was the sole redeeming factor about that film. And she looks sooooo much better with her Bridget Jones weight.

SOFIA SOFIA SOFIA! KICK ASS! She's so pretty. Lost in Translation....friggin amazing movie. This deserved it.

Lord of the Rings always wins when they elect to nomiate it, of course. Shore gave these films their heart, he truely deserves this.
