'Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium' Inspires World's First All-Toy Billboard

Los Angeles, CA ( November 2, 2007) – In anticipation of 20th Century Fox’s release of Walden Media and Mandate Pictures’ holiday film, "Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium", Fox Walden is set to unveil the world’s first all-toy billboard on November 7th on the legendary Sunset Boulevard, which has long been home to some of the most innovative billboards in the past.

The billboard will be made from approximately one million toy bricks and will stand an impressive 17 feet high and 48 feet long. Building the groundbreaking art piece is the world renowned Nathan Sawaya whose work has been featured everywhere from national TV shows to museums across the country. Sawaya’s past works include a 7-foot replica of the Brooklyn Bridge, mosaic portraits of Alfred Hitchcock, Lindsay Lohan and most recently, created a life-size model of talk show host Stephen Colbert.

“The film is about a magical toy store where anything is possible, and a billboard made entirely out of toys really captures the true essence of "Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium",” stated Fox Walden marketing president Jeffrey Godsick.

"Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium" is the strangest, most fantastic, most wonderful toy store in the world. In fact, it’s a magic toy store and everything in it comes to life – including the store itself. The Emporium only asks one thing of its customers; you must believe it to see it.
