I'd say Keanu Reeves is the perfect mono-tone model though.

After Primal Fear and American History X---the latter in particular---people were all over him like he was the next Brando.
He's pretty good and better than a lot of actors currently working, but I don't think he's anything special. I don't think he's either underrated or overrated. IMO, he's rated just fine: Above-average.

In 'The Score' which he starred with Brando (even if Brando's part was somewhat minor), I thought he played a very good handicapped man during the times he was acting the part in the movie.

I enjoy most everything he does except for The Transporter 2. The CGi's killed that one.

I must say, when it comes to British actors i am quite Piccy. I prefer the more serious ones or ones with a good humor instead of the likes of Jason Statham or Vinnie jones. Give me Bill Nighy or Simon Pegg any day. |

Edward Norton though, I think he´s made a couple of classics, Fight Club, American History X, Primal Fear. Made some really bad stuff: Italian Job, anyone? Or Keeping the faith, The Hulk or 25th hour which I thought was dull dull DULL. I think he was overhyped at first, after X and Fight Club, and got a bit too big for his boots after that. ![]() So as a longish response to your question: first overhyped, now under appreciated! |
