She is 88 for goodness sake, she should have been in an old folks home 10 years ago. Obviously you have to respect her working at 88, but i just feel like getting a chair and making her rest.

Is that what you plan to do with your parents if they live to be that old? And would you wish that on yourself? Betty White is still a productive member of society. I think it's great that's she's still able to work at something she loves.

Jonny's right. I think once you've hit your 70's you shouldn't even be allowed to vote, drive, live on your own, etc. If we revoked seniors rights to vote, we wouldn't ever have a Republican president and the party would lose so much support that it'd disband forever. America would then become a great country again, so I'm in favor of it because it would benefit me.

Correction: I misspoke, America is already a great country, but by reshaping our politics, we'd become an even better country.

That is bunch of prejudicial and ignorant bullshit. You're advocating taking away a person's rights based solely on their age. If you teach that to your kids, hopefully they'll stick you in a nursing home on your 70th birthday.

The opinions I'm sharing aren't anywhere as ignorant as the views old folks cling on to, so maybe you should give what I said some more thought. Until they've proven that they can be responsible citizens, I wouldn't want them to have so many rights as it hurts society to grant it to them. As statistics show, old people cause more car crashes than any other group, and by taking away their licenses, we'd be boosting the safety of our roads. They're also the largest supporters of the GOP because it caters to their old-fashioned views, so why should a party whose main voters are senior citizens with bad brains be taken so seriously?

If Betty can work, let her work. She's funny.

That being said, I do think that politicians should have to retire at 65. It's insane how we keep ending up with senators who are in their 80's and 90's. I don't care how sharp they are, they shouldn't be in charge of the country.

If they want to work they can go into acting. Maybe they'll land a part on Betty White's new show: "Hot in Cleveland". That's right, Betty White is a Clevelander!!!!!

I love how you even admit they vote republican because of old fashioned views. Times change, and the people change with them. In 50 years maybe more old people will vote for democrats.

Anyway, I really hope this is satire. If not, Betty White should kick your ass.

I do agree with you about that. There should be a mandatory returement age for all politicians.

I know I can't change your opinion and I wouldn't waste my time even discussing this more with you. I just hope you never become the legal guardian for your grandparents (if you have any) for their sakes. You're obviously very bigoted against old people and that's just wrong.
