I reviewed it briefly on the 'what's the last thing you watched' thread. Personally I loved the style of the film making, the acting and the visuals combined were dazzling, almost a hypnotic quality about the movie. Eva Green in particular was a fantastic villain. I'd imagine most people are blabbering on about there not being enough comedy. The trailer may be slightly misleading, presenting it as a horror comedy, when it is more horror/fantasy with a bit of comedy, however I thought it was the perfect mix. Bad reviews are mostly just on comedic timing when that's not what the film is all about. And that's one of the only criticisms people can manage. Do see it.

Thanks for that. I plan on seeing it anyways, just good to hear why some people liked it.

Not a problem. Sometimes critics just like picking faults from films and i think we all are aware of that. Usually Tim Burton's films are enjoyed by critics, they must just be in a bad mood when watching this lol or cannot except it for what it is!

And my problem with Inception was not that it confused me(which it did), the concept didn't really interest me, neither did anything much impress me.
Your kidding! She's absolutely durty as a chimney sweeps brush!

I adore the casting, they are vampires so the age thing doesn't matter.
