State of Play (Spoilers!)

Kept me guessing until the end. Like a well wrought spy thriller. Has anyone see the BBC version?

SPOILER ALERT: (don't read on)

Question: why did Afflek's character's wife know about the 26K a year? The final reversal hinged on this point, but I didn't see why she would know exactly. Are we supposed to believe that she was "acting" the whole time when she was mad at her husband re his affair? This doesn't make sense because of that hallway scene he has with her where she wants to tear his eyes out. Did I miss something? Anyone?

i saw it but got kind of confused at the end... i was really tired and I wasn't crazy about the perfomances (to be perfectly honest).. I've been told the TV series was brilliant so i guess i will be checking out that one instead.

yeah well i was a little surprised it was a TV show since it seems to be just a well crafted holloywood script, with one reversal in act two and then a kind of reversal of the reversal or negation of the negation as robert mckee says in act three. it's not an episodic film like "traffic" based on the british series ...
