Agreed. I don't know too many people who liked it but I thought it was great.

I just loved the way it was so non stop and in your face and it had a lot of substance some modern horror's don't have. It actually did live up to the great trailer and it was a bit actiony as well which i enjoyed. Performances were solid all round too.

It was very well done. I haven't seen the original but I thought the movie was creepy at times and even though the plot was narrow it still shined IMO like you said because of the solid performances.

My favorite soundtrack ever was The Chumscrubber's
Nice to see another fan. I'm not keen on the actual band music on the soundtrack but adore James Horner's score for The Chumscrubber. A piece called Digging Montage, used towards the end of the film, is fantastic. Can hear it here:

The soundtrack/score (it's kind of both,) to Inarritu's Biutiful is superb. Mostly composed by Gustavo Santaolalla, who has such a gift for capturing and creating emotion. I also adored the film, so when I listen I am taken back to Bardem's remarkable performance and the heartbreaking story of a man in search of redemption.

^ Gustavo Santaolalla is wonderful, I adored his music score in the film Babel. I believe he won an Oscar for it. Yet to hear the score for Biutiful.

This is my favourite piece from Babel, it starts around the 4.20 mark of the video:

Do you have a favourite piece from Biutiful?

I have two; Rein and Lait. I must listen to Santaolalla's other works. He is brilliant.

Lait:

They are lovely, I prefer Rein out of the two. Definitely looking into the score for this film.
