That is a good movie. One of those films you really shouldn't like but do, if you catch my meaning. With a pretty good cameo from Viggo Mortensen as Satan.

I probably have the DVD you're talking about, just the movie no features - which I don't usually buy. But I remember buying it extremely cheap at around £3 about 3 years ago. Strange that it's expensive there.....

That's on amazon.co.uk so I don't know if they would deliver to Canada, and i they did it would cost you a lot more.
Thanks for the link. It's damn cheap too with free shipping so long as I buy a few movies which I no doubt would. It's one of the reasons why I need a visa baaaaadly lol.

In the UK site you only have to purchase goods at £5 or over which is less than $10. It's still only £2.98 and not even on sale price. I got my copy on sale for 11p cheaper.
Yeah, you guys seem to have the better deal there by far. Is this free delivery only for UK residents? My next project is a regional free DVD player once I can start buying online. Then I can lurk in your UK amazon as well.

I was certain that was made here but just looked and I was wrong. Maybe I'm thinking of 'Disturbing Behaviour' which wasn't too bad but along the lines of cheese like The Faculty. If you ever do get that one, the alternate ending is waaaaaay better than what they ended up giving us.

The Ring 2 was just bland. No scares. Nothing but a slow moving film from start to finish without any sort of twist, turn or excitement to it. All I remember is that I loved the first one so much, I eagerly waited for part 2 and hated it. Couldn't believe that's the best they could come up with.

I loved the part where Mortensen was biting on that Rose. Seemed the perfect thing Satan would do and not even realize he's doing it while making conversation.

Yeah that's pretty cheap and sort of what I expected to find. This place I was at was a large HMV store who have both outrageous prices with some DVDs as well as cheap ones with their others. Like a 2 for 20 deal or a 6 dollar bin. But even with those, you'll find them for 5 bucks at walmart. Another overpriced movie was 'The Orphanage' that they were selling for 33 bucks. No special features in it either I don't believe.

You guys have HMV over there too, huh? I think that's where I got my copy from, but it was during "sale" times so I guess that's the reason.

I have the same issue with that particular store too, they overprice everything. I remember going into their store in the hopes of buying one of the Deadwood seasons, but it was £50!! Of course I didn't buy it, I found it online for £17.99 that very night. Talk about a rip off.

Yeah HMV is everywhere here. There's one mall that has one store on the top floor and one on the bottom. It's mind blowing.

Yeah I'm not sure how they stay in business cause I don't know of many people who'd just grab a DVD without looking around a bit unless they're loaded with money to burn.

Another example is their Season 7 of the X-Files I saw yesterday. I think it was around 44 bucks. These were all at Wal-Mart about a half a year ago for 19 bucks each. Every season of that series. I should have grabbed them then. Would have cost about 200 bucks but so what. I want them eventually anyways.

Multi region players are incredibly cheap on the UK Amazon site. Dunno about the US site though. I think the cheapest one was for about £32/$52.95. Although i do remember at a time there was one for £22/$36.40 and it was getting good reviews too. Another thing you would be interested to know is that the boxsets seem to be incredibly cheap on the UK site(highly overpriced in the US compared to the UK). For example 1 series like One Tree Hill or Dexter in the US one would be cheaper, but if you bought the series as a whole or another boxset from the same show it would be marginally cheaper. I'd recommend checking out how much The X Files are on the UK site with a free currency converter you can get by just searching on google. Orphanage two discs is going for £5.55/$9.18 and one disc £3.98/$6.59. Hmv stores everywhere seem to have too high prices. I noticed a Supernatural Season 1 Complete was £8.98/$14.86 on Amazon and £17/$28.13 in HMV.

My family have quite a lot of money, but don't go flashing it about. So in other words i'm loaded with money to burn but i don't even go and buy highly priced DVD'S. I prefer to search HMV in case it's on sale for £3 or something and then search Play.com and a couple of other sites and the majority of the time i find the cheapest DVD on Amazon, usually from Marketplace. Unlike other people who have the privilege like myself to have rich parents, my family sponsor children and donate considerably large amounts of money to poor countries and charities. And yeah delivery is only free on the UK site to UK homes. But it's fine to buy off the UK site as marketplace delivery is £1.21/$2 for all DVD items to international addresses.

I bought the whole season for about £9 each about a year ago. I'm not quite sure what the exchange rate is today, but I would guess it's about the same.

I got mine online though and over a period of weeks. I probably should have just bought the entire series box set. But no matter

I just checked. One guy was selling it for about 163 Canadian who only had two reviews and the other dude was selling it for about 172 who was just new there. Both box sets are used though. The rest are way overpriced though.

I just realized, depending on the store here, if I'm lucky, I can get the entire 9 seasons for about 160 each so I'm going to try and be a bit patient here.

lol my converter says that's $10.10 but who cares. Thats a sweet ass deal. I'm assuming that's region 2 though right.

You mean that's for every item each or the entire delivery combined? That's quiet the deal if the latter. The UK amazon tells me that all countries except the US will have to pay $3.58 for the shipping which is still great so long as it's the entire shipment. That DVD site I buy sometimes makes you pay for each DVD. So if I get a shipment of 10, then that's 10x whatever the shipping cost is. That's why I only buy them when they have the free shipping and receiving deals. I also have to buy bulk to get the better blu ray deals as well. My friend is nice enough to pay for the using her card and I just pay her the next day. I don't like to do that too often though.

Yeah that's about $16.38 here according to my online converter which makes it a few dollars cheaper.

So every season of the X-Files that you bought cost £9 each exactly or is that what it averaged when all was said and done?
