Bought Texas Chainsaw Massacre:The Beginning and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake) yesterday, just to complete the collection really, watched the beginning last night and it's largely unimpressive, not seen the remake of the original yet,but if the beginning is anything to go by I may have wasted my money lol

Haha, no problem. It's a movie not worth seeing, and should be avoided like the plauge.

I have no intention of seeing The Fog. Black Christmas actually impressed me considering it got bad reviews, but maybe thats just cause i'm horror in the brain lol and One Missed Call i thought was ok.

I'd rate the remake about a 5.5/10. The original kicks ass though. I loved Dead Silence. It was one of those chance buys that I didn't give that much hope for. I just enjoyed the atmosphere of it all.

I agree with DarkMaster in saying Black Christmas and 'One(?) Missed Call' sucked big time. Have you ever watched the original 'The Fog' Dead Null. The remake's actors were terrible. I noticed that the main actors sounded more amateur than the actors with the tiny parts in the film.

Ah so you must not have seen the original before this one then. Have you watched it since?

Last DVD I got was yesterday. I've never been a Turtles fan but I figured I'd give this a try since it was only around 8 bucks for the blu-ray edition. Someone mentioned it on here (Purplenurple I think) and said how he loved it to which sparked my interest.

Apocalypse now I love that scene about 'the horror'.

Yes, and thanks for calling me Dead Null The original The Fog has not much to do with this remake, totally different. Expect for the fog I found it a really scary movie when I first saw it and has that nice Carpenter style IMO. Those 'pirates' really looked freaky. But is already some time ago that I watched it, but you should check this.

It is rated 'confused free ending'

At the beginning, the atmosphere was great, but after that, the tension died down and it began to decline. The flashback scene where the old lady was with the puppet was scary though, which was sweet. And as for The Fog remake, I agree it was inadequate. But Dead Silence wasn't an expensive buy, so I wasn't upset.

Yeah...The stars of that movie were pedestrian actors. The poor acting just made the movie less enjoyable than it already was.

I haven't, but I guess watching it will help me clear the confusion the remake left me with?

The last dvd I got was today. I got Hitman unrated version. I like Timothy Olyphant as an actor, so hopefully this one's good.

LOL @ pedestrian actors Is that actors picked of the street, so non-star actor?

I have to disagree here with you and Escape, I thought the acting was not that lousy, I've seen worse. I just saw this movie gets a 3.3 on IMDB? I rate these movies as 'enjoyable crap', but I would feel ripped off big time if I had to pay for this at the cinema. So if I had to spend 10 bucks on it I would say a 2, but for free a 5.5

Hehe, it could mean that, and it's applicable in this case. By saying pedestrian actors, I meant their acting wasn't better than anyone else of inadequate skill.

I saw this movie for free, and I still want a refund. I think The Fog deserves all of the awful ratings it's been getting on IMDB. I'm glad I didn't waste my money on this at the theater. That would suck.

No, don't go by how bad 'TCM: The Beginning' was cause the remake was very good in my opinion. Much better than that one and one of my favourite Horror films.

Yeah I just thought it was better than alot of the crap out there nowadays. I loved the ending.

What confused you about the remake?

Dude, we are talking about 'The Fog' remake right.
But as I said, it was the few 'main' actors that sucked. The others were pretty good and easily out acted them in the small parts they had.

I did.

Here's what I got recently as I've been getting into the Halloween Spirit.
