It was £10.38. Which isn't that bad I don't think, it may be a little excessive especially for an older movie but it's not overly-excessive. It's a movie I really want to see and I cannot find it anywhere else so £10 is alright by me.

How much is it there?

Sterling is almost the same as the euro now, and these (I recognize the cover) you usually pay around 25 euros. Checked Stalker and Solyaris and they are 25, this one you got costs euro 18. Art cinema DVD's are always expensive here and never seem to drop in price You can pick them up at Film Festivals cheaper usually though...

Checked them at amazon.co.uk and these Tarkovsky's are euro 10

Yeah, I have four of his DVDs; Stalker, Solaris, Mirror and Andrei Rublev. All bought from amazon.co.uk for around the same price as I bought The Sacrifice. Although I think Mirror was about £12 at the time. It may have come down since then. I don't think I could ever buy a DVD that's just a single film for over £15 let alone £20+. So I can understand why you would want to wait.

It's strange that they're so expensive over there. I always had this idea in my head that the Netherlands was the place to go if you wanted cheaper region 2 and to a lesser extent region 1 DVDs. Although thinking back this was during that period when the Pound was doing well against the Euro so I guess that's the reason.

Yeah they were supposed to be lovers back in the day but I thought it was shitty the way they made her turn into a ghost there. She either was or she wasn't you know. It did explain this in a flashback I believe. I only saw this in theatres so not easy to remember the explicit details.

Is that Zodiac with Jake Gyllenhaal? Awesome film. It's long in minutes but flys by. For me anyways. Panic Room is one of my fav's as well. And as you know Disturbia I enjoyed but nowhere close to Rear Window.

I saw that about two weeks ago. I thought it wasn't so bad if you're into time travel and the odd scenarios it could take you depending how much you've changed in the past. It was a comedy of course as the cover implies. I have never seen Dr. Who so not sure if it's even remotely like that. I am only a fan of the recent British comedy and not the early stuff. Just can't get into it.

Last ones I bought:

Yes, Sterling used to be very high against the Guilder (currency we had before) and the Euro. Happy I can legally dl here, else I would miss so much nice stuff (or would have to pay a fortune to see them). Germany used to be very good in DVD prices, but they seem to be even more expensive now than Holland, strange.

Oh, I see. They must have explained it horribly then, because from what I remember, nothing in the movie made it clear she was the captain's lover. You saw this egregious remake in theaters?.. I'm sorry you spent money on such a lousy horror. I didn't spend money on this, and I still felt ripped-off.

Yes, the one with Mr. Gyllenhaal. I so agree, the film is a bit long, but never dull. I'm really looking forward to all of them, yay.

No it's called 'Presumed Innocent'. I snagged that pic but didn't realize the title wasn't even on there heheh.

I already own 'Frantic' and did enjoy it but not so sure if you would as much. It's a bit slow but I just love the way Ford goes about investigating and asking questions about his wife's disappearance really.

I got mixed up. I just thought that it was an alternative poster for the same movie.
