Spain didn't win but the singer sang the song after the 25 countries. Why?? because an idiot appeared in the stage while Daniel was singing his song.
We finally achieved the 15th place. The best place since 2004, so...thank God!
I actually thought him singing twice would help. It's one of those songs that you need to hear more than once. And in my opinion he sang better the second time!

This man is an asshole who did the same in a Roland Garros' game, in a football match...
He does nothing but disturb.
Aww, I haven't seen the contest (yet), although I'm sure Spain has outperformed many of the competing countries since Spanish is such a beautiful language. The guy who F***ed it up for Spain needs to be expelled permanently from all events of that importance for acting like such a dweeb. I'll bet they would've done alot better without his interruptions = /

Yay!! I'm part Spaniard, and it's nice to see that we're finally getting the credit we've deserved for the longest time. Maybe next year they'll take it all.

By the way, you said you were worried about how you spoke English..Trust me, you use English words better than most native speakers.

Yes, the song was really nice and he did better than others but there's a complicated votation system, half jury, half "televoting" and there's always that thing of: I vote you because you're the country next to me and in the I World war we were "friends" and things like that, you know what i mean??
It's a pity because the contest is really important for so many countries in Europe and that's not good for the show.

He was punished with a 2000€ fine, but nothing else, that's it.
The point is...thank god he ruined (or at least tried to) the Spanish song because if he had appeared while another country was singing...wow, i'm sure Spain will have ended in the last place, with 0 points :S

Really??? You have to tell where are you from, or you parents, or grandpa...
And..i don't think Spain will win the festival in years, at least until the rules change.

By the way....did you people like the flash mob???? It was too long but it was nice to watch people dancing around the world. And i saw my friends!!! They were at the stadium, with the Spanish flag, lol, and i saw them dancing, it was really, really funny.

In general UK singers are great, but most of the people who go on the Eurovision Song Contest are bad singers. Akon, Lady Gaga, Tinie Tempa, La Roux, Owl City, Alexandra Burke are all very talented singers whose songs are all over the UK.

Only problem is that Akon, Lady Gaga and Owl City, which are the only ones I've heard of, are all American..

But aren't you Irish Jonny? Ireland usually does alot better in Eurovision, but I think they were almost last this year

jjajajajaa, yeah, Lady Gaga is from USA

About Ireland...this year song was really nice but the singer had some problems with her voice because she didn't sing well in the semi-final. In the final she sang better but not as good as it was supposed to be. It was a pity because the song is sooooo nice...

Yah, I see what you mean. So it's more of a popular contest than a contest to measure someone's talent. It reminds me of American Idol where loads of talentless idiots win because they endeared the larger part of the nation to voting them in, well at least we know the countries that beat Spain didn't do so on their own merit.

Oh, forget what I said earlier. This guy didn't do a disservice to Spain afterall, and because he helped propel Spain ahead (or at least didn't kill their chances), I think this guy's a cool customer. But wouldn't it have been better if the guy hadn't disturbed the performance in the first place :S

Haha my mom's Greek but when she was very young she moved to Spain and later on she met my dad at a train station (or was it a bus stop? I can't recall..) and my dad's Castilian. They moved to America before I was born, so I'm a first generation American.

You're welcome. I mean it.

By the way, what's your education and what do you do for work if you don't mind me asking? It's been nice talking to you and just to add further interest to the conversation, I just thought I'd ask

Yes, that's exactly what it is, mostly. For example, there was a song this year, the Russian song that was awful, really, really awful, but, they achieved the final show. When they said the semi-final results i was shocked, i couldn't believe it. And people in the stadium didn't agree either ( I know that because some friends of mine where there)

I'm from the UK Northern Ireland. I don't know what it is, but Eurovision Song Contest is just not in the same league as The X Factor or Britains Got Talent.

Oh, that sucks.. I haven't seen any of the songs, but it's annoying that the good singers have been robbed of their prize. And I'm betting that most of the fans hated it too considering they disapproved of Russia making it so far.

I'd be rooting for Spain or Greece if I were watching the contest, so either of them winning would make me happy.
