They're the exact same movie, only The Virgin Spring is an art movie set in Medieval Sweden and has a more philosophical ending compared to the grimy violence of the straight horror film The Last House on the Left.

I like The Virgin Spring, but I seriously doubt that it'd be BASSI's type of movie.

Please! Last House On The Left is nothing more than pointless drovel, terrible film. That list looks aweful, you seem to like crappy horror films. However Hush i thought was excellent and Shuttle and Stuck were very good. I would't call Stuck a horror though, more a thriller.

^ Most horror movies are aweful. It's a genre which is inherently dumb, dull and trashy.

And so? People are entitled to like what they like.

@Bassi: I haven't seen much on that list except Last House on the Left which I loved and Joshua which I hated. I have another suggestion though, Frozen. It doesn't look like it would be very good, but it actually ends up to be quite frightening.

These ones I mentioned he should watch are decent films, the ones in italics are excellent. Not all rubbish in the list.

Storm Warning (2007)
Into the Mirror (2003)
Nightwatch (1994)
Eden Log (2007)
- science fiction also

That's why I love it. There are plenty of good, non-trashy horror flicks out there though; they're just typically the more obscure ones.

... and Jonny criticizing someone's taste for being akin to 'crappy horror films' is hypocrisy at its finest.
