Movies You Dislike or Hate That Everyone Else Likes or Vice Versa

Yes, this can be quite irritating, especially when no one agrees with you. Could I say that I'm the only one at least on the forum who doesn't like Lethal Weapon(3 of them, i thought the one with Jet Li was good)? What about Beauty and the Beast? Or Carrie? Am I the only one who thinks the first four X Men movies(kind of a guilty pleasure) and Toy Story(more just boring) are crap? I think this will make for an interesting debate/topic.

^ I'm with you on Toy Story. I adore most Pixar films but never got the fuss with the Toy Story animations. Don't think they are crap, I just can't get into the films.

I like Avatar but it's usually met with much criticism. I didn't get all the hype about Up, seemed very average in my opinion.

Sometimes its the hype that does it for me. I haven't seen Avatar, never will. Just like when they released the titanic movie some years back, it was shoved down our throats so I just refused to watch it. I will die without watching those two movies because they make it out like you MUST go to see it. The advertising was relentless and they lose me before I ever go to see it.

You never know you might like them.

Blade Runner also I thought was very poor, nothing much happened. Never for the life of me could see why EVERYONE liked that movie. With regards to at least Avatar anyway, I'm waiting until it fades into the background so that no ones opinion will influence me. Lord of the Rings is absolute rubbish, i agree 300 % with you on that.

All of Christopher Nolan's except The Prestige (which is his masterpiece)

Forest Gump
Shaving Ryan's Private
Lawrence of Arabia
American Beauty

Just some of the many overrated movies that I detest.

Not that I hate or even dislike it, I just find it to be incredibly mediocre: Martyrs.
