I just caught that, on Youtube of all places, excellent film. One of the best cinematic explorations of existentialism I've ever seen.

A new update on the list! A few new contenders for the list but were left out:

When A Woman Ascends The Stairs
The Winter War
Team America: World Police
Come and See
The Wind Will Carry Us
Blow Out
My Man Godfrey
Heat
The Long Goodbye
Picnic at the Hanging Rock

Interesting list above. I had to look loads of them up as haven't heard of them.

I must say though, I'm surprised to see you like Team America though. Doesn't exactly fit in with the rest of the list lol

Ah, I know haha. Did you see the new top 101 in the first post? I almost wanted to include Showgirls as well but that would be an eyesore. Guilty pleasures don't fit into a list of arthouse films.

Dreamcatcher
Alien Raiders
Prince of Darkness

Don't think I could bring myself to watch Showgirls, as well as a lot of the ones on the list.

I've seen 21 films from your list though.

I've only seen about 25 on your list. Some of these movies I've never heard of.

And much as I hate to admit it, I actually liked Showgirls.
