Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows I haven't seen the other Harry Potter movies (just not into wizards) but was invited to see this. The IMAX had an incrediable picture and sound, but I got completely lost with all the names and characters that I'm sure people who follow it would have known. Good movie I guess, but don't make it the first Potter mvoie you see.

I dont understand why everyone think this movie is so great...same with the Godfather. what is so good about it?

From the last time you brought up this horrendous opinion

5) A main character for whom the identification and potential for vicarious catharsis is arguably unequaled.
Give it a few years and revisit the film, flyboy, and see if you don't warm up to it.

Haha you mad at me for pointing it out?

I've made one thread on this forum. Ever. One post, before that one. It's pretty understandable that I wouldn't forget about it.

Yeah i knew about that, and Li also played the student Lee played in the remake Fist of Legend too.

Well at least we kinda a agree on the OUTW and TGBU lol I think what makes them as good as they are is Ennio Morricones score. Probably the best composer ever i would argue

The Six Wives of Henry Lefay (2009) - IMDb quite a bit better than I expected and funny at times, but only if you have a rather twisted sense of humor and like black comedies.

Not as good as I thought it would be. Sure I saw it when it came out but couldn't remember. Certainly not terrible for an obvious low budget effort though. And I did like the music. 5/10
I've been rating that as one of my worst movie experiences. I pretty much couldn't stand it when I saw it back in the day. I've never watched it since but I can't say if I did, I'd have the same amount of hate for it. I couldn't stand that red light though. Very irritating.

You said you too. But Pelicula said it was out in Britain later so how did you see it? Sneak preview?

I watched 'The House On Sorority Row' (1983) recently and it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. I mean it wasn't bad but the kills weren't exactly interesting since most was cut out intentionally by the director. And the suspense leading up to them was pretty much absent.

Yeah, how weird is that: In two films, Jet Li played the teacher that dies and the student that avenges that teacher's death

Agree on both counts. Bernard Herrmann was the more diverse composer, IMO, but just flat-out stacking up their compositions next to each other, Morricone comes out on top more times than not.

His score for Once Upon a Time in America (which is my favorite film of all-time behind Enter the Dragon and a film you absolutely should watch) is my pick for the single greatest original score in film history.

I watched Fantasia because it's supposed to be one of the best Disney classics. The cartoon itself was a mixed bag (out of the 8 musical numbers, the 3 keepers were The Nutcracker Suite, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and Mount Olympus). It was broken up by tedious scenes with orchestra members and a host guy who talked too much. Was he seriously explaining to me what dinosaurs were?

4.x/10
