Blow Out (1981) - IMDb one of the very few times that I preferred the remake over the original.

There's a strange lineage with The Window, Rear Window, Blow-Up, Blow Out, and Disturbia.
They all technically "start" with H.G. Wells' short story Through a Window, which Cornell Woolrich used as inspiration for his short story It Had to be Murder. From that came the 1949 film noir The Window, followed by the most successful adaptation, Rear Window. Then came Blow-Up, followed by Blow Out, which is a combination of the previous two. And then there's Disturbia. It's tough to call any of them true remakes, but they all share similar DNA.

Executive Decision. This was a great thriller which also had great elements of action. It was very tense and everyone gave great performances. Highly enjoyable while also being a genuinely great film. At the start of the film i was skeptical, then it certainly picked up and turned out to be very good entertainment.
