L.A. Confidential. A very entertaining film, highly recommendable.

This is England. Even tho I didn't agree with some of the themes, the film was brilliantly made, IMO.

I was just watching The Runaways Claire and it seems to me that rock singers are the most passionate singers. What i also found interesting was that Alice Cooper can still be that crazy and share the same faith as myself. I saw the comparison as people often don't believe me if it was brought up that i am a Christian as i'm sure people would think about him as well. He was interviewed on the Alan Carr show, i know you like him as a comedian as well, so i'll try to look for it on Youtube. And Schools Out is a great song, probably the only song of his i am familiar with. Thanks for posting it.

I watched the original Fright Night last night, two weeks ahead of the remake's release date and i have to say i thought it was great. Everyone was perfect for their roles and it was inventive so roll on the remake!

Most, if not all, rockstars wear a mask, (or makeup). They're normal, regardless of how they appear.

I didn't know Alice was religious. I guess that's because he's not one of those people that try to convert others to his beliefs. To each his own.

Basically, all that right winged stuff, so to speak. Only because politically, I don't share such thoughts and actions. The harassment of the shopkeeper and the beating of Milky, eh-- not to my taste. Again, only because those actions were done in spirit of superiority and such, and I personally don't share nor condone such thoughts and actions. As for Shaun kissing Smell, I really didn't mind that much, she wasn't that much older than him. Of what I could understand-- they had a mutual relationship.

____

Taken. A re-watch. Liam Neeson, kicks ass-- trafficking ass.

^ That's the whole point of the film. You are not suppose to agree with all that... it's an anti racist/fascist film. And the other things you mention, it's shown as a negative, nothing in the film is praising such thoughts/beliefs. So much that at one point they were thinking of changing it from its 18 rating here in Britain down to a 15 rating so more younger people could see it because of the messages in the film.

And yeah, in real life that girl is only three years older than the actor who played Shaun.
