Spoiler
They live in an underprivileged area, hang about doing nothing, find a policemans gun and, very predictably, end up shooting someone.
What is SO amazing about that?

Just because it's in French and black and white doesn't make it one of the best things ever done. The acting is very naturalistic and it has an atmosphere, that's about it.
Someone who agrees with me. Yay, Gort.

Why don't you read up about the film and it's social history. Interesting stuff.
I don't feel I should have to read a history book just to enjoy a movie.

Your Highness rather silly at times, but I thought there was some very funny dialogue. It was fun and entertaining

I watched that from start to finish for the first time maybe 3 weeks ago actually. I've seen parts before but never a straight sit down. I honestly couldn't take a break from it till it was over I found it that entertaining. Tom Cruise was hilarious at times too.

And today, I saw Dustin Hoffman's 'Straw Dogs' for the first time as well. I'm gearing up for the remake so I just wanted to compare the two first. I thought overall it was a pretty weird movie in the sense that the characters did some unusual things in it that makes you wonder why. And checking around on the net, it appears there's no real answers to them either except personal opinions. Awesome last kill though.

The Green Hornet (2011) - IMDb - fun superhero comedy effort. The best thing in it is the car though! 7/10

I haven't seen it since the 90s, what are the unusual things they did?

I watched A Lonely Place To Die which is frustrating because no one i've talked to has even heard of it and i'd like to stress how fantastic it was. Gripping, suspensful, thrilling, non stop, relentless, it all takes off from the second the film starts and no waiting around. It has an aweful lot of great stuff packed into a 99 minute long film. Great acting, settings, camerawork, it has you on the edge of your seat. Melissa George is delightful and so if the film, not a surprise that i liked it, but certainly a surprise that it's fantastic.

Friends With Benefits. It was ok up until the ending which practically had me with my hands over my face. I was expecting and more so hoping that the film would be more a comedy, but really there wasn't much comedic material to go with at all and consdiering the trailer i was surprised. It was just bland and dull for the most part. And there was a part in it where Justin Timberlake's father in it, Richard Jenkins seemed to have remember having had a relationship with Mila Kunis mother which leads me to think they left out a gag that the two main characters could have been brother and sister.

I rewatched Insidious which is a great indie horror film, the only film to properly scare me. And The Disappearance Of Alice Creed with the fab Gemma Arterton who is great here and for a film with only three chracters for the entire film it is incredibly unpredictable, brilliantly scripted and excellently shot. A very unique film on what could have been a standard been-there-done-that kidnapping film.
