Oldboy (2003) - Top Korean revenge movie. EVERYONE should see this. - 9/10

Memories Of Murder (2003) - Strange and haunting Korean murder investigation. - 7/10

The Darkest Hour (2011) - Average sc-fi full of cliche set in Moscow. - 5/10

Casuals: Story of the Legendary Terrace Fashion (2011) - Superb documentary chronicling the rise of the football hooligans in the late 70s/eary 80s but concentrating more on the clothing they wore in the 80s. This resonated with me, as a lot of the gear they featured, I actually had. It puts a slightly different spin on things and shows there was more to this movement than just pure thuggery. 10/10

First viewing of the Ocean's trilogy:

Ocean's Eleven (2001) - 7.5/10

Ocean's Twelve (2004) - 6/10

Ocean's Thirteen (2007) - 7/10

I still prefer the original Rat Pack version though.

The girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011) very stylish and wonderful opening segment. I normally don't like remakes, but Fincher did good this time and I thoroughly enjoyed this.

I wanted to kill myself half an hour into the film, maybe I just didn't get the story.

Actually, I don't blame you-- I thought about doing that myself (turning it off), but, it got better.
It gets more and more intriguing further into the storyline, IMO tho. Impressive acting performances.

I watched Rear Window for the first time last night.

TBH I was mostly transfixed on the performances and although I followed easily along with the story, I have to watch this again. I have heard everyone who reviews this movie talk about its accomplishments in film technique. But really this is a smart suspense IMO. Simple outline, but the characters are the greatest I've seen in a while.

I also watched The Mangler.

The first time I saw Rear Window was I believe on a Saturday or Sunday morning, and I was eating breakfast and I luckily had just switched the channel to the start of it as I was channel surfing. I wasn't as deeply involved with movies as I am today so I had never heard of it before. But man was I captivated by what I saw on screen. Just a man who's quietly observing his surroundings that felt so much different than what I had been used to. It's my favourite Hitchcock film to this day.
