I just got done watching Surrogates. I agree that it was forgettable...I'm upset having wasted my money on something that could've been better. I should've seen Pandorum instead, since Jonny was saying it was really cool.
When i got your pm i was going to warn you from seeing Surrogates as it doesn't look like anything special, nor is it getting anything more than moxed reviews. Then i realsied you sent the pm 9 hours ago so it was too late to warn you. I was intrigued by the plot of Mirrors, but i didn't watch cause of people on this forum saying it wasn't a good movie. I think it's best maybe to give it a rent(it has got Amy Smart whose acting i love)

I've never seen it and never want to dude.

So are there alot of illusions and hallucinations in this film? If not, maybe I'll give it a shot after all.
No it hasn't. Nothing that i noticed anyway. And i was pretty much glued to the screen. It's a habit of mine to go to the toilet in the middle of a movie, but with this i found i could barely get off my seat lol! I even satyed till the end credits to see if there was anything after it. And thats rare for me, usually i can't be arsed! Pretty Women is actually a great romantic comedy.

Man, I swear I must be the only one who actually enjoyed this enough to even want to fork over the cash to own the blu-ray as well.
While i haven't seen this and did intend to at one point it is getting more than decent reviews on IMDB, which is usually pretty accurate. I'm a little apprehensive cause isn't it heavily filled with sci-fi?(Pandorum is probably the first movie with sci-fi elements i loved) Or is it more like Eagle Eye, action packed and great fun till the end? This looks like it could have been a box office hit, had it have been released in the summer. Also if it has barely any advertising how is it going to make a lot of money? I mean damn it has a budget of $80 million and i never even heard of it until a week before it's release lol.

I watched Mirrors and it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. It has a nice spooky kind of feel to it, which I prefer over blood and gore. Yes, there are some bloody parts, but not many.

The last movie I watched was Mirrormask. This is one bizarre movie and the ending left me a little confused, but I liked it. 7/10

Mirrors sucked IMO. Saw The Amityville Horror (1979) on TCM, some parts still gives me the creeps.

Funny, I think this was mentioned some weeks ago too if I recall. Tale of two Sisters is a very cool and original one IMO, did you enjoy it? The Uninvited was not a bad copy I guess, there are worse ones out there

Oh hell, that would be all my fault dude for mixing the titles up there. 100 percent. Mm-hmm.

No doubt there was plenty of room to make it a better film. I'd love to see this turn into a couple more films but that's doubtful. The potential of this though, if written properly could be terrific in my opinion. Lots of stories they could come up with.

Oh I totally expected it. Tarintino loves dialogue.

Spoiler
I loved that scene in the restaurant where the 'Jew Hunter' is talking to that girl as he's eating his pie and cream. It was great how it kept you in suspense thinking he was toying with her when all the time he was friggin' clueless. And something about how that scene also made that desert look damn good lol.

Yeah, you'd figure by now they'd have had a clue what they were walking into. And damn....15 people is quite alot to be walking out of a movie. The most I've seen personally would be about 4 or 5 and I go to a hell of alot of movies too.

Well I think you've sold it to me Jonny. If it's still around in theatres accessible to me next week (I have 3 days off) then I'm going to check it out and maybe even that film where people can't lie. Too lazy to look the name up at the moment.

Yeah I noticed that too but any forum I visit, people really didn't care for it.

Well I love Sci-fi so is one of the reasons I enjoyed that one. And no, the action doesn't come close to 'Eagle Eye' but yes, it's main content is of a sci-fi nature where the users of these 'Surrogates' are dying when they are never supposed to be harmed if one should be damaged. So basically, it's a Sci-fi detective film. I'm hesitant who I recommend this to now though. I did to a guy at work today actually. He, like me, enjoys alot of films that the average Joe doesn't. Same with my brother.

What did you think of the remake. Personally, it kicked the original's ass imo but few agree with me on that.

No, I've never heard of that one. It seems it's a Korean film made 6 years back. Most likely never touched a screen over this way and if I did see the DVD cover, and it looks like the one on imdb, then I'd have passed over it thinking it was some snobby, drama, chick film.
I'll keep a look out for this now though. I hope it's not dubbed or if it is, it gives the option of subtitles only.
