I think it's best maybe to give it a rent(it has got Amy Smart whose acting i love)
That's ok, I had been wanting to see it ever since I saw the trailer, but it was a major let-down. And yeah, after I sent that pm to you, I got off and catched the bus to see Surrogates, so either way it would've been too late. I doubt Mirrors is a good movie, then. Any movie that gets terrible reviews from the professional critics and the regular movie-goers is usually one that I hate. It sounds like a good plot gone to waste on poor execution and presentation.

It reminded me a lot of Gamer in that they had similar concepts, and the ideas were wasted on making it a bad movie. I don't see any sequel for this movie either, and I don't think it's doing as well as the studio hoped it would do.

@Silvara: Thanks for your opinion of the movie. I may give it a rent, but I'm glad I didn't see it in theaters since everyone I talked to hated it.

Anyway, I just finished watching 9. It was a nice, colorful movie which had a lot of action, and cool sound effects that complimented the brilliant CGI's. I recommend it.

I loved that scene in the restaurant where the 'Jew Hunter' is talking to that girl as he's eating his pie and cream. It was great how it kept you in suspense thinking he was toying with her when all the time he was friggin' clueless. And something about how that scene also made that desert look damn good lol.
Apfelstrudel Dunno how they call that in Canada, that stuff is great.

Spoiler
That guy was gross eating, those sounds when chewing and shit I loved the beginning, damn that was some good acting there and kicked in immediately. The part where they switched languages, fuckin a'

Yeah, you'd figure by now they'd have had a clue what they were walking into. And damn....15 people is quite alot to be walking out of a movie. The most I've seen personally would be about 4 or 5 and I go to a hell of alot of movies too.
I went on a week day in the afternoon, not being offensive here, but most of the people in that cinema did not really look like the sharpest knife in the drawer, lots of youngsters that read 'Brad Pitt' on the movie poster I guess and were expecting something very different (like myself, but this exceeded my expectations) .

What did you think of the remake. Personally, it kicked the original's ass imo but few agree with me on that.
I can only remember that I have watched it . I might give it a rewatch though, have the DVD still flying around somewhere. Original is also bit of my youth sentiment, shit my pants when I saw it as a kid. That 'Jodie' scene, nice. Story was fully debunked later though, I don't believe shit from that 'true' story and haunted houses, but still love these flicks.

Well I think you've sold it to me Jonny. If it's still around in theatres accessible to me next week (I have 3 days off) then I'm going to check it out and maybe even that film where people can't lie. Too lazy to look the name up at the moment.

Yeah I noticed that too but any forum I visit, people really didn't care for it.

Well I love Sci-fi so is one of the reasons I enjoyed that one. And no, the action doesn't come close to 'Eagle Eye' but yes, it's main content is of a sci-fi nature where the users of these 'Surrogates' are dying when they are never supposed to be harmed if one should be damaged. So basically, it's a Sci-fi detective film. I'm hesitant who I recommend this to now though. I did to a guy at work today actually. He, like me, enjoys alot of films that the average Joe doesn't. Same with my brother.

No, I've never heard of that one. It seems it's a Korean film made 6 years back. Most likely never touched a screen over this way and if I did see the DVD cover, and it looks like the one on imdb, then I'd have passed over it thinking it was some snobby, drama, chick film.
I'll keep a look out for this now though. I hope it's not dubbed or if it is, it gives the option of subtitles only.
Amityville Horror remake was actually disappointing for me personally. I haven't seen the original. But if it's supposed to be not as good as the remake then i don't think i'll bother. Some scenes were good, but a lot of the time it just seemed like people were walking around for no reason. Have you found out what the mvoie where people can't lie is called? Oh and did you enjoy Eagle Eye?

Mirrors was so bad and so forgettable, I've forgotten most of it. I really liked the original Amityville alot more than the remake.

Week End (1967) - This may have just become my favourite Godard film (of what I've seen). It's just an excellent film and a wonderful visual experience.

Finally saw Duplicity. Again, another boring performance from Julia Roberts. She is so overrated. Also, I found the movie a bit hard to follow.
