We are getting way off-topic here, so this is my last post in this thread. First of all, if a large majority of scientists state that global warming is caused by humans and man-made industries, this is still not convincing scientific proof they are right.

Volcanoes produce more CO2 than all humans and man-made industry, (cars, plains etc.) put together. The ocean produces the most CO2, the CO2 caused by humans is a negligible fraction in this whole picture. The earth is warming up at the moment (and there have been many climate changes over the past thousands of years). Al Gore 'proves' that CO2 is causing the earth to warm up, but it is the other way around. If the earth warms up, the amount of CO2 (and many other gasses) in the air increases and not the other way around.

My point is, based on the information and scientific research until now, it is impossible to draw any conclusions about the relation between humans and global warming. Unfortunately many have been brainwashed by Al Gore's thriller, turning scientists who question his 'theory' into heretics.

@Jonny: I love movies with good one liners, and it's a shame I didn't see this during the short time it was out. Your thoughts on it just make me want to see it more, so I'm going to wait till it's out on dvd. And yeah, a lot of good movies have been tanking at the box office.
It must have had a short run at the box office, because i think the average for a movie to be playing in cinemas is about 8 or 9 weeks. So if it hadn't have been for the poor box office revenue, i would say it would have been likely it would have stayed in cinemas until 20th November or longer. Btw it's getting a 29th December release in the US on dvd and blu ray. There is a high chance i would have seen The Fourth Kind if it had been in my cinema, it would have been likely i would have seen it along with Jennifers Body back to back. Although i have only done this once or twice as i don't think i can give as good opinions watching two back to back. I just find it to be difficult taking in that much dialogue. It's different being at home. You watch two movies, then report it here on the computer next door. It would probably be better if you were watching something back to back to be an action and a romantic film, romantic movies concentatrating on relationships rather than dialogue and actions concentrating of blowing stuff up. Not too much to take is better for back to back stuff.

One of you guys should create a thread on this. I'm guessing it would be an interesting topic for you both. Or you could always use the pm system.

I just thought i would mention that i've just got back from seeing Couples Retreat. First i'd just like to say that i was in a bad mood beforehand and was very shocked at the effect it had on me afterwards. I don't think i've ever felt so good about a movie. Probably one of the best mixes of coemdy and romance i have ever seen(more comedy which it really suited) Such a feel good movie, very very shocking it was ahted by critics and probably one of the most underrated gems out there. Perfect casting, acting, script, gross out funny moments and pure genius hilarious gags. It hasn't even got a good fan rating on IMDB. So this comes highly recommended for me and to be honest i'm not really a fan of comedy and romantic mixes, with probably the few exceptions of Notebook, Last Kiss, Wedding Crashers, Time Travellers Wife and Love Actually(not entirely sure if thats all of those mixes liked, sorry loved, but i'm starting to really get into the genre, as all of those movies i've seen so far have been excellent) So if you haven't seen this go and watch it as soon as possible as it was superb and more than just entertainment. Trust me i'm as surprised as you guys probably are when you read this.

Cube -- Some weird Canadian movie. The acting was pretty bad. I spent the entire movie waiting for some big reveal at the end but nothing happened. Pretty unsatisfying.

Land of the Lost -- Only a few funny parts. Otherwise it sucked.

I'd give both films a 6/10

Checked 3 movies from director Ken Loach today, all solid 8/10 social dramas of Scotland based lower class society, nice stories and great acting.

Ladybird Ladybird, based on a true story about this lower-class woman who has been abused as a child and later on gets abused by several different men. She finally meets this loving man from Paraguy and the story shows their struggles with social workers, the law and their own relationship in order to get their custody back over the children. Intense with outstanding performance of Crissy Rock.

My name is Joe, about a former unemployed alcoholic who starts a relationship with a community health worker. Joe does some jobs here and there and coaches this local football team of complete morons. One of his team players gets caught up in drug related problems. Bit of a tragic comedy, with good laughs, some ultra violence and drug abuse.

Sweet Sixteen, deals with the problems of this 15 year old kid who gets kicked out of his stepfathers' apartment after he refused to pass on drugs to his mom who's in jail. Liam is trying hard to build a relationship with his mom, who's being released from prison when Liam turns 16. He buys a caravan for her, hoping she will move in with him and leave her past behind with her drug dealing boyfriend. Things turn out a bit different when he gets involved in drug dealing to finance the caravan and meets the wrong people. Some ultra violence, love, betrayal and revenge.

Madea's Family Reunion.
"Look, if you touch me I'm gonna call 911!"
"My daughter tried that and I hit her so hard she dialed 919."

500 Days of Summer, had troubles sitting through this one. Portrait of a guy shown in flash-forwards and backwards of the 500 days he spent with this annoying cock-teaser girl named Summer. Overall not very original and felt a bit like a bad refurbished romantic 80's flick. Only thing that kept me from switching off earlier was the great music.

Nice quote though: "The boy grew up believing that he'd never truly be happy, until the day he met the one. This believe stand from early exposure to sad British pop music and a total misreading of The Graduate"

6.5/10 (the 0.5 point is for the guy being a Smiths and Joy Division fan ).

The Maiden Heist not as good as I'd expected.
