Saw Stephen King's 'Silver Bullet' just now for the first time and loved it. I always like the way they use real special effects in those old 80's werewolf films as opposed to CGI nowadays. It would still work well no doubt if they were to continue this trend for certain films I'm sure.

^ I love that movie, that one part and Uncle Red, nice acting. Bit underrated if you ask me.

Dunno, I'm sure there are many areas in London it would represent. It highlights many problems apparent in most UK cities I suppose: school bullying, underage sex, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, teen suicide, knife and gun crime, gang culture, racism and racial stereotyping.
And all this in under 90 minutes!
Watched Terminator Salvation last night. Good action film with its own merits, but doesn't really stand up when compared to the first 2 films. McG did manage to get the 2 famous catchphrase in though, so gets an extra mark for that 7/10

Gets quite a lot of mixed opinions, saw on IMDB it's West London btw. Going to check this one out, I like these kinds of English movies.
Had a rewatch on Remo, quite fun IMO.

It also has a sequel, called Adulthood, funnily enough.
Sorry DN, what is Remo?
If you like gritty UK based drama, check out director Ken Loach.

It's some 80ies movie I hadn't seen in years, you'll probably know it: Remo "Unarmed and Dangerous", nothing special really but entertaining.

Yes, I love those types of UK drama, Naked (Mike Leigh) is one of my favorites. I still have 3 Loach's waiting for me here, I just picked up his latest: Looking for Eric, about Cantona It's a free world and Ladybird Ladybird.
Do you have any other recommendations? Sweet Sixteen and My name is Joe for instance look quite interesting. I have seen The wind that shakes the Barley.

I've seen all these. My Name Is Joe was my favourite.
Not sure if I've seen any Mike Leigh, although I know of him so probably have. Secrets And Lies perhaps.
Finished work now, so won't be back til Monday. Enjoy.

Really great film. David Thewlis is excellent in that role.
Anyway, last night I saw Bergman's The Silence (1963) and it - as you can expect - was excellent.

Requiem for a Dream. A very well made movie, but the story was too depressing for me.
