Yeah, that's great Typical something Carpenter would put into a movie.

Spoiler
On a serious note, I like to think of the ending as the first point in the film where the main character just loses any sense of sanity he had left.

That makes the ending so powerful IMO. The part that really scared the hell out of me is

Spoiler
where he's reading the book and wakes up finding this guy sitting next to him. Not sure what he saw at first or second, but he 'awakes', and then 'wakes up' again, seeing horror and then finally returns back to 'reality', a double scare

Now that you guys have mentioned it i'll probably see it soon. Sam Neill was great at acting in Jurassic Park, i wouldn't say i'm a fan, but i'll definetly watch this sooner or later.

Yeah I saw that, black comedy I thought. But it does make you wince at times, OUCH!

Two with McGregor:

Stay, excellent drama/mystery with a very good performance of Gosling.
Young Adam, nice drama/thriller and great acting here.

Strange Days I would also like to recommend. Southern Comfort, excellent thriller. The Believer, good drama. The Car underrated horror flick. I'll come up with a few more ones later.

Jennfiers Body is underrated and gets a lot of undeserving hate as i think because a lot of people don't like Megan Fox. Moonlight Mile, loosely based on a true story looks great.
