Underrated or Little Known GOOD films

What movies do you think have not received the acclaim they deserve, or are really good, but just not enough people have heard about or seen them?

A few that I can think of are:

The Rage In Placid Lake - Australian movie about a young man who decides to reinvent himself after being hospitalized. If you've ever felt like you didn't fit it, see this.

The King Of Comedy - Directed by Scorcese with DeNiro as Rupert Pupkin, an aspiring talk show host who interviews celebrity cardboard standups in his basement and stalks a famous Leno type character to try to get on his show.

Being There - Peter Sellers as a mentally handicapped gardner who lives his whole life in the house of this rich man and doesn't know where to go when the man dies.

I'm sure I'll think of some more. Sorry about the lousy descriptions.

I'm a huge Peter Sellers fan but I have to say that Being There was a very odd movie. I liked it, but it was still very odd. I really didn't understand the ending either.
Here's some underrated movies....The Way of the Gun, The Eye Inside, Love & a 45, Shattered Glass, The Beach, Montana, Shade, Driven, Copland...If I think of any more I'll post em

I always thought "Tequila Sunrise" was criminally underrated. Mel Gibson, Kurt Russell, Michelle Pfeiffer and Raul Julia were all great in it.

I have to say SAW
Not so much the cheap music-video tricks, but, more the idea.
Deciding if you want to kill another man to survive..
I just like the moral, not so much the execution..

Yea, there u go.

Actually Being There is on one of the AFI's top 100 hundred lists 100 cheers I believe so I'm not sure that it's been overlooked really, many say that movie is Peter Sellers finest performance.

I will continue my campaign to get people to see Cinderella Man any fan of the Rocky movies should enjoy this. Not only was it underrated but hardly anyone has seen it.

Being There was good but there's no way it was Peter Seller's best performance. The Pink Panther saga and his multiple roles in Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb definately come before Being there. Dr. Strangelove is another one that not many people have seen that is fantastic. It is one of the few good films in the already dead genre known as satire.
