2 of my favorite John Cusack movies

OR

A 20th anniversary Special Ediition of Say Anything is now out on DVD and I've got to have it soon. I liked both movies, but I believe Say Anything is the better film. It's one of those timeless movies that you never forget.

High Fidelity is a great movie with great music, but for me also Say Anything, one of my favorite 80ies romance movies, Lloyd Dobler is just....Lloyd Dobler.

I have not seen Say Anything; I did enjoy High Fidelity quite a bit. But as I've only seen one of the two, I'm out.

I really enjoyed both of these. Say Anything is the better film, imo.

vs.

Aguirre: the Wrath of God (Werner Herzog, 1972) vs. Apocalypse Now (Francis Ford Coppola, 1979)

What is perhaps Coppola's masterpiece against a similarly difficultly filmed jungle epic that was a major influence on Coppola while he filmed Apocalypse Now. I think I have to go with Aguirre by an ever so slight margin; they're literally two spaces away from each other in my top 100.

Haven't seen Aguirre: Wrath of God, but it'd have to be a hell of a film to trump Apocalypse Now.
