I hated Edge Of Darkness...nearly put me to sleep. Daybreakers wasn't good either imo.

Havnt seen the others tho but Kick Ass looks great.

Book Of Eli and Shutter Island were both amazing. Green Zone and She's Out Of My League were both alright, not ones i'm gonna watch again anytime soon.

Thats it for the '10 movies i've seen thus far.

I thought Daybreakers stopped the vampire genre from running out of ideas, Edge Of Darkness i thought was just great, i was actually surprisef as i thought my reaction to it would be similar to yours. Shutter Island was boring, despite the great performances by most of the cast and i realy tried so hard to like it, but it didn't work. You are left with too many questions and it's a mindfuck, although IMO not in a good way.

This year hasn't been egregious by any means. Up in the Air and How to Train Your Dragon, two excellent films, were released this year, and they're among the greatest movies I've seen.

Kick Ass is hands down in the top 20 most awesome greatest films i've ever seen. Actually it's usually the US that get films released earlier. Adventureland and Soloist as examples got released in cinemas here after they had been out on dvd in the US for like a month. Release dates have improved, coincedentely just after i mentioned on the forum about UK dates being LATER than the US.

Usually anything with George Clooney in it i don't like. Nothing against him, i just don't like his acting skills. But Vera Farmiga is a good actress, so i may rent this on dvd. How To Train You Dragon is a kids movie, which pretty much automatically means i'll see it.

I really liked Up In The Air. Great story, acting and characters. I know I won't see Kick Ass at the theaters. I wouldn't waste my money. It looks so lame. Don't even know if I'd bother to waste a dvd rental when it comes out.

You clearly haven't seen the rating on IMDB. It's much less childish than you think, appeals to an audience much wider than only teenagers(which is what it's marketed like to be a box office hit)

The only movie i liked with Clooney in it was O Brother Where Art Thou?

I didnt care for Up In The Air aside from seeing Veras backside. lol Seriously tho, i really didnt think much was great about it.
