You were technically correct in one only.

I once tried another website for my reviews and the 16-year-old 'senior editor' edited my third review so badly it was in places actually ungrammatical and misspelled. The meaning was changed completely when s/he cut and pasted bits and put them in different paragraphs, and s/he simply cut out any comment s/he didn't understand (which was quite a lot). I had a hard time recognising it as my review.

It was the last review I wrote for them.

So I'm exceedingly grateful for the artistic freedom we have as reviewers on MoVa.

Nevertheless, if we could all be more professional in our expression, grammar and spelling, the site might attract more serious attention and earn greater respect.

Who "flamed you to death", Tyler? Is it PLite? Or Greg? Maybe Scott? Or Pigsnie? Kyra? Kielle? Nate? Moose? The masturbation thread? Who are the "you guys" in question? As for me, I was having fun with you. If I wanted to flame you, I'd made some choice racial epitaphs just for starters.

Speak for yourself, Tyler. Wasn't it you who removed a certain thread that prompted a certain reviewer to quit MV (while other more sexually graphic and offensive threads remained unmolested)? You needed to ".. try to lighten up and not be so serious in life" yourself then.

Your turn, boss.

JLApe - I think you answered my point exactly :-)

BTW, if you think making racial 'epitaphs' would be flaming me, then perhaps you need a time machine?

By that response, you're therefore exaggerating, or to be precise - lying, when you said we guys "flamed you to death".

Anyway, I've seen flaming. And what you've just been through hardly qualifies as such. Try to lighten up and not be so serious in life.

Tyler! Hello! How are we this early am?

Here is your Word of the Day!

FORUM /n., pl. forums, fora.
1. The marketplace or public square of an ancient Roman city, the centre of judicial and other business and a place of assembly for the people.
2. a court or tribunal: the forum of public opinion
3. an assembly for the discussion of questions of public interest.

I was stupidly under the assumption that any comment made on the public forum was for public notice, interest and discussion.
Silly me!

Oh, but if it wasn't, why did you not send the 'joke' to me in private...?

Because you like to comment on our grammar all the time. Why didn't you private message us those as well? :-)

En garde!
