No, and critics need to go easy on the artistic value, it's for pure fked up entertainment.

i think you would like them and i agree with Pelicula, you have to watch them in order, and i don't think she meant that as a joke.
I was not saying you have to see them in order and agreeing with you, hence the ... at the end of my sentence, I put that because I found your comment on seeing them in order strange, you are not going to get lost in 'plot' lines that you have to see these kinds of movies in order.

Honestly you guys need to give the films a chance, i was apprehensive when first watching it, i absolutely loved the first and they seem to top it every time. If you watch the second one you are never going to get the whole thing.
I have given Jackass as chance, I watched the tv series when it first aired, and saw the first film. Don't like it enough to pay to see the other two films.

Wow.

I practically grew up with those guys, got a camcorder for Christmas when I was 9 soley because of Jackass. They had a part in shaping me as a person.
"shaping?" meaning a few injuries?

I'm actually surprised you don't like the look of it. This is just like when Claire hated the look of Kick Ass and turned out to enjoy it. I honestly think this is the same here. You just obviously have to take them for what they are, and you have to admire these stupid guys going through all sorts of stuff for mere entertainment. It's crazy and the thing is you probably shouldn't enjoy it and as i said, anything that makes me question my own sanity(like should i really be enjoying this) is worth watching. And i actually find it quite ironic when i first joined i was critisized for not watching variety of films, which i was anyway and some people don't even watch films to find out for themselves. I understand some people won't like it and claire has at least watched the second, but honestly mosefus i think you would like them and i agree with Pelicula, you have to watch them in order, and i don't think she meant that as a joke. And the whole point of the film is one liners, because it's essentially an extension of one and two minute gags.

Geez..that was a mouthful. You must really like these movies. I saw the tv show a couple of times, in addition to seeing the 2nd movie. In my opinion the guys in the movie are adolsecent dickheads. They go around acting stupid, doing dumb and dangerous stuns and laughing at each other when they get hurt. I don't find that entertaining.

Jackass was adequately entertaining for TV filler purposes, at least when it first aired, but it's not something I would rent as a movie. For me, it'd be like renting stock wildlife footage of lions taking down gazelles.

I have seen Jackass, Jonny. It was a TV show on MTV back when you were still in swaddling clothes, and the movies are a mere extention. See, I would never judge something before I've seen it but, in this case, I have seen it, so I know what it is.
I 'get' the concept.
I just don't like it.

It's nothing like that at all. Kick Ass was marketed poorly, the trailers giving the impression of some lame 'teen' action comedy, when the reality was far more barbaric than that.
The trailers for Jackass sell the product exactly as is. No devious marketing ploys, no under-handed demographic manipulation, just straight up 'this is what you'll get,' which is to be commended.
Dude, my cinema pass allows me to see any movie I want without paying extra and, knowing what I do about Jackass, I won't be bothering.
I'll stay at home and pick the crusts off my genital warts, instead.

But you did experiment, so it was a bad influence?...

Ok, i do get why people don't like it, it's just with your type of humour i thought you would have. I'm not going to defend it anymore, because i can definetly see were you guys are coming from. Mosefus, i am curious, how much was the free cinema pass, or did you win it in a competition?
