Yep, I think they are lovely films. Plus Tilda Swinton appears in them so I'm slightly bias.

yes I saw the topic and glad to see people are waiting for it, I can't wait to work on it as I'm a sci fi fan so it will be fun for me to work on, besides the fact that it's filmed in 3d so now we have to adapt all the work to match the right eye view after we finish on the left eye, but it's ok sorry for the off topic
Not a fan of 3D but hope you have fun working on it.

I can't wait to see 'Prometheus' as well since I love sci-fi films.

And I don't mind 3D as long as it's used through the entire film as opposed to just bits and bobs here and there like with that 'Piranha 3D' film.

As for Paranormal Activity 3, I would hope that they continue this for at least one more if answers to the second film's ending isn't in this upcoming 3rd film.

If I am indeed correct in this the third one will take place during the 80s? If so, it's going to be interesting to see how they justify the constant filming that will need to occur in order to stay true to the series given the technological limitations they would need to be working with for continuity purposes. Where exactly will the family be storing this mountain of VHS tapes? The conveniently placed warehouse, "out back"? Thus far the filmmakers have done a relatively decent job at justifying the constant filming that needs to go on in order to make these films work. Not having the wide scope that digital filming allows open to them, it'll be interesting to see if they keep up this past history. Or just gloss over it.

I liked the first, the second was actually better, therefore I will be seeing the third. Though I won't be expecting anything very different.

Haven't had any real interest in seeing any of them up til now, but I may check out the first one, as a lot of people seem to talk about it.

I think I'm one of the only people who has never seen either of them, lol. I want to see them, but honestly, my hopes aren't too high.

Paranormal Activity 4 (2012)

I liked first and 3rd one, I really enjoyed both of those movies, I was not big fan of the seconds one.

Quote:
Now that all those contract negotations with Paramount Pictures are done, Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman are in high gear to get ‘Paranormal Activity 4‘ into theaters October 19, 2012.

The ‘Paranormal Activity‘ franchise has changed directors with every film, but after the huge box office bonanza from ‘Paranormal Activity 3′, plus two directors who can help keep the budget low, Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman (Catfish) are returning. They knew they’d be returning so they’ve already been cranking out story ideas since Paramount Pictures has already stated that ‘Paranormal Activity 4′ will be in theaters October 19. Even the studio knew there was no way they could risk another new director with such a crazy tight deadline so these guys are back in the saddle.

Expectations were low when it was announced that Joost & Schulman were helming the film after becoming more known for the ‘Catfish‘ lawsuits and possible fakery in a documentary, but then when ‘Paranormal Activity 3‘ hit, it hit hard shocking everyone. I was impressed with what the way they handled going back into the past and even though the ending wasn’t as shocking or mind addling as sites like Aint It Cool News proclaimed, it was a satisfying film. Now that they’re being given a few more months than the last film, I can’t wait to see if they move forward in time since there’s some great material to work with.

Thanks Bassi. I've been waiting for a first official trailer for this film that's coming out in only a couple months from now. I assume like the last movie's trailer, that this exact scene won't even be in the movie so I have to keep that in mind. And that freaky kid standing outside the house looks like he's got a miniature dog in his pocket that looks up at her lol.
