I'm really looking forward to this. Tobey Maguire looks like he'll be good for the part he's playing. Directed by Jim Sheridan who has made some pretty impressive films (My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father). And I'm always excited to see the beautiful Natalie Portman.

The situation reminds me a bit like Castaway. Tobey seems to have lost alot of weight. Maybe it's the haircut but his face looks very slim.
I'm not sure I like the music score though. Seems to give the impression it may turn out to be one of those boring 'film festival' type movies but the ending of the trailer has given me a bit of hope heheh. Natilie Portman looks good there. I like her hair style. Suits her.

I agree, Tobey Maguire's physical appearance and performance alike are practically unrecognizable! Also, with Jake Gyllehall's versatility as an actor at least one of these incredibly gifted actors will be nominated for a Oscar. This movie definitely has oscar promises written all over it!

Film of the Year AND Natlie Portman Naked!
Yes this movie definitely has all the elements of an Oscar-baiting film! Not to mention Jim Sheridan, A 6 time Academy Award Nominee! Oh, and before I forget, Natalie Portman GETS NAKED!!

Natalie Portman's Theesom?!
Did anyone hear Natalie Portman's comment stating that,"She would have a threesome with Tobey and Jake..."under the right consequences"? Apparently, Jennife Meyer wasn't too happy about the comment.

This really was a great film
I am a big fan of the Danish original so I was a little skeptical that the American version could live up to it, but it exceeded my expectations. Great direction by Sheridan and not as overly-sentimental as it might have been.
