The first one was terrible. Is this a joke? They can't possibly make sequels for bad movies right? :-p

/sarcasm off

OMG! IMO the first one practically made horror movies good again! Tons of people will look up to this film now if they are wanting to make their own horror film. Great for the build up of tension, claustrophobia etc.

I thought the first one was brilliant in its suspense. But it kinda looks like they've gone for a more gory approach rather than teasing with the unknown? Suppose they had to, since we already know what's in there. Probably won't watch it..

I watched the first part. If i compare it with 2nd part three is no big difference in quality. Both gave me similar excitement.

Im surprised you guys in the US are only getting it now and straight to DVD, needless to say it completely spoilt the name of the original and was a completely needless sequel. I wouldnt recommend anyone to watch it, if you've seen the original thats enough.

Spoiler
For those who have seen the original, the first thing you'll notice is they actually changed the ending of the original in order to make this 2nd film possible.

Completely needless.

As a horror sequel, this movie is almost destined to suck.

They both look like similar movies. Even if you will be basically watching the same movie. It will be highly enjoyable even if it's clear they ran out of ideas since the first was so fast moving once it got started.

You want to see the sequel even if it's the same movie? I don't get it.
