New Hint Option

Please vote (and comment) on what you think of the following idea:

When receiving a hint for a NTF, you will now have the option of choosing to receive the hint directly for half a point as usual, and choosing to fill out a short survey/poll from an advertiser and then receiving the hint. If you then are able to figure out the movie correctly, you'll get a FULL point just as if you didn't receive the hint.

The survey/poll would take around 30 seconds or so to complete.

Sounds more like a game, but if it's a survey that only takes about a minute then i don't see why not. It seems a good idea...

I wouldn't do it...I dislike surveys greatly. But I would like to know from Tyler ...is he the one who decides when a hint should be changed and if so, how does he come up with the new hint?

On occasion (perhaps 10% of the time) I will change the hint of submissions. I do this usually when one of the following conditions have been met:

- The hint is too long (and actually gets cut off)
- The hint is too helpful/easy
- The hint contains a quote that could be Googled for an easy answer

Don't really have a problem with it as long as it stays that 30 or so seconds long.

I agree with Pelicula...survey not a prob as long as it's short, and, I do not have to join or buy anything.
