Someone somewhere said this vote is a mandate for the Democratic party. I totally disagree. I feel it's more of a "sick of immorality" in America vote. Even after Kerry's ignorant comments , I felt this may turn things for the Republican Party , but then there was Rev. Ted Haggard's "outing" here in Colo Springs. I think that with Mark Foley had a great deal to do with the turnover. So the voters have shown they are not into allowing much in the way of acting the way you want. So those to the extreme "left" better watch it or the turover might be as great in 08. Ew that one rhymed! Just a personal opinion.

Another reason the Republicuns lost wuz their incessant blather about how much holier they are than the rest of the population, wid their stupid focus on stem cell research & gay marriage & Terry Schiavo. They should haf been trying to fix the REALLY SERIOUS PROBLEMS like Iraq & the worlds hostility instead of bringing up not-so-important stuff.

Ugh, Schiavo was a nightmare. The lawyer's office that argued on behalf of the immediate the family is right across the street from the hospital where I volunteered at the time. Getting around was impossible with all the media presence.
