Thats an interesting article. But, why would you think that? Psychiatrists are meant to help crazy patients, not be crazy themselves. Your saying somehting like this happens often?

Sounds to me like it was as a result of a failure of the system, particularly the military, firstly for allowing him to practice after a poor evaluation. Secondly, if a health care work requires 'extra counselling and supervision' he's someone to be kept out of potentially explosive situations like a war front. Possibly he should be forcibly retired from active practice. Bureaucratic idiocy loses lives yet again.

I sincerely hope you never have need of a counsellor, therapist or psychiatrist, because it sounds like you'd only go to someone who didn't know the terrain, the journey, or the way back. Good luck with that.

Yeah, blame the system. The poor guy is a victim of bureaucracy, that justifies killing 12 people and leave 31 wounded. If you ask me, it's the result of another Islamic nutcase glorifying Jihadism and brainwashed by this violent ideology of hate. He was already in the picture by the CIA. And even if this is not the case, in the end it's still an individual pulling the trigger and not the failing system.

Sure sounds to me like someone wasn't listening, including his therapist and supervisor, his superiors and his evaluators. Of course it doesn't justify or excuse killing people. I'm saying it could possibly have been prevented if someone had taken note that he was clearly unstable.
