Cause he wrote that a billion years ago. Steve-O from PFO is writing a couple books. He was asking for some contributions to it.. I was going to write some stuff on SnG's and tourneys for him but I haven't yet because I am lazy.

Today I read up to page 31 in my poker book then I signed online to play, but not to win, to study and practice. At the start of each hand I asked myself three questions.

1. What position am I in?
2. What kind of hole cards do I have? Like Ace suited, One-Gap offsuited, Big Pair, Medium Pair, Small Pair, Unsuited Conectors etc... or garbage.
3. What is the best hand that can be made from the cards on the board.

I did that for every hand. The only time I played a hand was when I had good cards since I was only there to study, learn, and get into a habit of knowing the three things above.

Eventually I found myself at the final table and I became distracted. There were a few times I forgot about a question because I was playing. Then I became annoyed at one player and said "Next time I get the nuts I'm going to wipe that mother out once and for all. I'm sick of him" and two hands later I did. I raised like a madman and won. I doubled up and left him in ruins. He went out three hands later. After that I wiped out two small guys at the same time. Then there were only six of us left and I just played and put the questions on the back burner. Then there were 4 of us and I was chip leader. It felt pretty good. Unfortunately, I haven't read that far in the book so I didn't know how to kill the rest of them off and when it was down to just me and another guy I didn't know how to finish him off and win first place. We battled for 45 minutes and neither of us got anywhere so he started trying to put me all-in. But I wouldn't go with stupid cards. I went all-in with AJ against his KK and flopped a third Ace on the river. Now we were head to head, mano a mano, tet a tet. Oh yeah baby. But then I died when I went all-in with 555 and he hit an inside straight on the river. Aaaaaaaaahhhh! I screamed as my life flashed before my eyes. The End.

2nd Place $3,375.00 in play money of course.

Half my play money? ok. How?

The next chapter is about odds, pot odds, and implied odds but I'm just going to skim it. I'm going to download a program that does the math for me and tells me the numbers. I have enough to think about without having to do algerbra in the middle of each hand. I'll just study the part where it says what I'm supposed to do with those numbers.

The odds are very simple to learn, and you really need to learn it. Don't skip it. It's very important, and you definitely need to learn it.

Today I did a little bit more to my website.
And I took a nap.
It was a boring day.
Played a little pokey. Went over those three questions again. Read the chapter on odds. I don't wanna play that way. I hope it's only for straights and flushes. Then it would be easy and I'd do it..

If you study hard, you can make hundreds of dollars per day. Once you know the basics, you will be making money easy.. once you start learning more advanced techniques and game theory, you can move up in limits and start playing for quarters maybe instead of pennies

Grrr.. how do you always know what to say to get me to study what I don't want to?

Odds is like gambling, I can't believe someone with two pair would call against a flush because 1 in 11.5 times he'll win. That's insane. I would fold.

Gotta take my car to emissions then stop and get a highlighter. Do they have emissions testing in Super Canada, Oz, or the U.K?
