I just had sex with a watermelon.
Not that way, in a normal way, using a cotton swab. lol. I hand pollinated a watermelon flower because I saw how to do it on YouTube and I wanted to try it. It was easy. Did you know watermelons and zucchini have ovaries? I didn't, but now I do thanks to the internet and it's ability to enlighten people.

I also made my own mason bee house. That was easy too. Just a drill and a scrap piece of 4x4. Saw how to do it on the YouTube. Mason bees are nice and they don't attack you like killer bees. They are also better at pollinating than regular bees.

Not much else going on. It's kind of a hot boring summer day today. I think I'll browse the YouTube to see what else I can build. Ciao!

Today was yard work day and I did a lot of it. I'm tired. I even cleaned the alley behind the house. Chopped a tree too. Most of it. Some is still there but I had to stop because it was dark.

Went to the 17th Street Market for groceries. The girl there is always trying to get me to go on Saturday so I did. It wasn't all that but I think I arrived late because half the vendors were missing. They had a big outdoor fiesta thing. The girl is cute btw, but she smokes. I hate that. I can't stand smoking. I am organic and wholesome. I don't drink or smoke, heck, I don't even take asprin when I'm sick.

I wish I could have used the stuff I raked up for compost but it was full of dog and cat poop. I had to throw it all away. That's sad. I don't even own a cat or dog but I had to clean it up so that made it suck even more.

I forgot to buy potatoes at the store.

My own life is very different from my own life now. It's amazing. Since I lost my job and started staying home all day it's like I'm in a Mexican Desperate Housewives show. I had no idea moms had such interesting lives.

The neighbor to the left of us likes to bring my mom food and she is Hispanic so the food is always good. Lol. Her husband has Alzheimer's. For some reason she seems to like me and we can't figure out why. She is always calling and asking me to come out to the fence so she can give me food. She is having a feud with the neighbor across the street. She had a party the other night and she suspects the lady across the street called the cops on her so she wants revenge and is trying to come up with a reason to call the cops on her.

Meanwhile, the lady across the street, who probably did call the cops, has taken a liking to a different neighbor's dog and keeps him in her yard at night. The dog's owner is a very bad dog owner and has had the animal control people called on him at least 4 times. Once by my brother for beating his dog. I think the neighbor across the street wants to keep their dog and it wouldn't be the first time. Another neighbor already adopted one of their dogs and now it wears a vest. It seems a lot happier now. The bad neighbor lets the dogs wander around the neighborhood and doesn't take care of them. They have like 5 I think.

Then there is the neighbor behind me who has eight freakin' cats. I hate cats and always chase them out of our yard. They like to poop in my compost bin and raid the bird houses.

Meanwhile, the neighbor catty corner to us may have a crush on me. She keeps coming over and dropping hints like things between her and her husband aren't going so well, and I should come over and help her with her plants since I like to grow veggies. Her husband owns his own landscaping business btw. I'm pretty sure he can help her with the plants. lol. I think she wants to be neighbors with benefits.

The neighbor next to her has her own tailoring business out of her home and I'm going to try to get her to fix the zipper on my pants. I have two pair with broken zippers. I live on a corner btw, which is why I have 8 neighbors.

The other neighbors are religious and the dad works for FedEx. Mostly they stick to themselves. Except I think they have a gay son who peeps in my window. Someone keeps peeping around here and my mom says it's a guy with curly hair. The only person with curly hair around here is one of their sons. They have 4 boys and 2 girls. Why can't their hot college daughter peep in my window? I'll give her something to look at. lol. The gay guy thing is kind of creepy but that's what the future will be like I guess.

Today I didn't really do anything. I dug up a part of the old clothesline so I can expand my organic veggie garden from 60 square feet to 200 square feet but I haven't started digging it yet. It's still in the planning stages. When I am done I will have a shade garden and a sun garden. Growing your own food is freakin' amazing. It's like magic. I may have my first harvest tomorrow.

Well, the dog owner was hauled off to jail last night. The CSI van came to his house and everything. It was dramatic and stuff.

So yesterday I rode my bike to Target to pick up my mom's prescription and when I came home there were two cop cars at the neighbor's house. I thought it was for the dogs again but then more cops arrived until there were 5 and then a little while later a CSI van arrived and started taking pictures of their living room and kitchen. Wtf?

It caused quite a stir in the neighborhood and all the neighbor ladies gathered at our house and sat at the picnic table to try to spy on what was happening. After a bit it turned into a gossip party and one of the ladies wanted to go across the street and kick the cop caller's ass for calling the cops on their party the other night. lol. I think I heard every Spanish cuss word in the dictionary. Me and my mom just looked at each other and laughed. Dang, she's angry.

Anyway, we don't know what happened at bad dog owner's house but he was handcuffed and taken to jail. He probably won't be back since CSI was there taking pictures. He must have commited a crime so that means goodbye to him. His wife didn't look beat up or anything and no ambulances came so it's all a big mystery.

He was playing the aggressive rap music earlier in the day so don't know. Whatever happened took place in the kitchen and living room. No one really talks to those neighbors so we can't get the gossip. They're kind of new and everyone wishes they would move out.

Oh, I found out my alleged gay peeper's name is Juan Carlos. He was also poking around trying to find out what was going on. The entire neighborhood came out for it. I never knew our neighborhood was so close knit. I like it. I wish I spoke better Spanish.

No all their dogs are small. Only about a foot high. Two are brown and skinny and one is black and white and pudgy. The big black one looks like this.



I don't know the breed. I kind of want to buy it a flea collar because it doesn't have one and I think it might have a tick on it's chest. It doesn't have a dog license so I don't know it's name. I just call it Big Dog and he responds.

Today was a boring day.
The brakes on my car need attention. I ordered the parts online to pick up in the store but I need to print the receipt to pick it up and the library is closed tomorrow so I'll have to wait until Monday. That's kind of stupid of me. I should have just paid at the store. Oh well. Doesn't matter. I hardly ever use my car anyway.

In other news, I harvested some organic turnips that I grew.



Oh, speaking of pictures. One of the people I photographed a while back has died. His friend left a comment on the picture I took of him and another person wants to use my pic as a memento kind of thing to remember him by. Sad huh?
