Well, its very hard for me to debate movies. A couple of hours of fun or chills or weeping at a poor Chinese dude who lost his daughter becuz someone ate too many pork buns IS about it for me. I cant discuss it because all I can think of after the movie is: Boy! am I glad I didnt sell thread in 1950s China! I am very emotional.

Perhaps if you PM Avrila & Frito -- those two are Oxford level.

2 people to discuss and debate about a certain film (Not always the same 2 people). 1 movie, 2 people. When the discussion is done, another group of 2 people will be the debaters, and the topic of film is changed. And other people will support a side. Everyone has a part to play in a debate, weather you're a debater, or a supporter. I think that's what Bullitt is saying. Argumentation on movies is what we're missing.

But I was thinking also to keep the original Judge Vs Bullitt idea. You know, for the movie professionals. But that would be tough, because I usually don't have time for long, witty post.

You're not a pro. Neither is Bullitt. He is in school to be one though.

I haven't seen proof of this "Oxford Level". Are they movie intellects like me, Bullitt68, re93animator, TacticalNeuralImplant, and DrPepper21?

As I've said already, that will not be happening. Stick to Bullitt's idea.

I think a student actor and a film student is enough to be considered pro.

No. Neither of you are pros.

Bullitt is however on the correct track.

Correct. Instead of a one-on-one set-up, it's more group oriented.

And I wouldn't have time to weigh-in on every single movie, so being an "official" debater in your thread would be too much of a hassle.

I'm currently a professional amateur
