I get a very Tree of Life feel from some of the imagery in that trailer.

Yeah I've noticed quite a few mention the teaser trailer is Terrence Malicksque.

I believe it's just trying to set a realistic very serious emotional tone to it, like the recent Dark Knight films. Though with this being the Superman to make way for the Justice League movie, I wonder if they can pull it off like the Avengers which was all out fun to see with lots of humour in there.
