I found an article about Django Unchained. If you guys know, Quentin Tarantino was inspired to remake Django, the original 1966 version. His remake is set to release on 2013 (No specific date release yet). His Inglorious Bastards (2009), is a remake of the 1978 version directed by Enzo G. Castellari. And it turned out that Quentin Tarantino's version beat the original. The remake is very different from the original. QT took his own direction of the film and the plot details isn't even similar at all. If he can beat the original Inglorious Bastards, than he can make Django Unchained better than the original as well.

Unbelievably at 82, Ennio is still composing, usually more than one movie a year too. However QT tends to go with popular music tracks to soundtrack his movies rather than Ennio-type compositions.

I'm glad that Idris Elba's film career has finally started to take off after a few duds. First Thor, then Prometheus and now this (possibly). He was always one of the stand outs in The Wire and to go onto a larger career off the back of that is definitely deserved, in my opinion.
As for the film, I'm looking forward to it. After a hit and miss couple of years Tarantino has won me over again with Inglourious Basterds; all be it with the fourth attempt at watching it. |
