Gambit rocks!
Gambit is my second favorite next to Wolverine...
Don't you like those blazing cards and the strong sex appeal...

He's just so obviously contrived. Cajun, throws cards (which is a Bullseye ripoff), ladies man, and tough, etc... The character was inspired by Jean Claude Van Dam imo. This uis the type of argument Id get into alot when i was a comic collector.

Should I even bother pointing out that there are at least 2 other threads on this flick already? *sigh* Whatever...

I get the idea that this movie is really gonna suck. Of course the other 3 X-Men movies were pretty awful too. There's maybe 10 minutes of good film between the three of them.

Liev Schreiber is an upgrade, but personally I'd rather have seen Nick Chinlund. Deadpool was another overrated mutant character. Just like Gambit. He just always seemed like he was created just for the few female readers...or certain guys. I hope they really change his character a lot for the movie, because the guy playing him does a great job on "Friday Night Lights".

Gambit is actually someone I missed from the movies so far. As a Spider-man fan, I never read the Xmen books, they never appealed to me, but I did watch the 90's animated Spider-man show where the Xmen made a special crossover appearance from their animated show and Wolverine aside, I was interested in Gambit, he seemed to stick out much like Wolverine.

The first 2 X-Mens rocked! That last one......ok that sucked, but I agree on your evaluation of Deadpool. Same reasons I dislike Gambit I should dislike Deadpool. Deadpool's funny though so I give him a curve.

There might be 2 other threads on this P-Water, but this one has cool pics!

Yeah, we need fresh topics every once in a while. The others died and had a few pages of posts that needed to be re-read to keep it all related.

I really don't see any difference between the first two X-Men movies and that third one. Bryan Singer is a one-hit wonder to me (The Usual Suspects). The whole love triangle between Cyclops, Jean and Logan was ridiculous. Halle Berry should never have been cast as Storm. She could have been a great character if a better actress had been picked. And the fight scenes at the Statue of Liberty were among the worst choreographed scenes ever. The only parts that were any good were Logan's cage fight, and Nightcrawler's intro. How wasted was Nightcrawler after that?

How did they not have Magneto control Colossus like a puppet in that last one?

Was Deadpool a Liefield creation? He always just came off as Spider-Man with a gun to me.

Personally, I wish they would have actually used the original team for the first X-Men film. They could have had teens/twentysomethings in the roles and established them, then introduced Logan in the second movie. Or even had him as a villain possibly in the first movie, while thinking he was on the right side.
