Whuts a dedicated server? Is that expensive?

so tired.. no sleep.. trying to cure site.. so scared.. so tired..

Dedicated Server is basically:

Much more expensive than a shared virtual host
we basically own our own server (rent) form some big datacentre in the US like rackshack
it would be in a big building with survaillence cameras and security guards..
we'd have 1000% control of the server.. which is good and bad... meaning it'd be empty and we'd have to do all the technical stuff.. which is unbelivably tough.. i'd have to hire zeeshan to do it..
we'd have tons of space, bandwidth, etc..

Right now zeeshan and i are going to put some stuff on a mirror server for movie vault and see if that helps alleviate the strain on our current server... zeeshan is helping so much..

So far, all I see is STRESSSSSSSS, my Precioussssssss ... eeek. Ugh, I haf a stumach ache & a stray cocker spaniel bit me (altho the bite looks more like a big scratch) and now, Pigsnie says I haf to go to the doc! Waaaahhh. blurble burble ..

Thanks for the donation from Pigsnie - I may use it tomorrow to rent a mirror server for the news images.. which would temporarily help us keep most of the site on DreamHost..

Well it's not a true mirror server but it is acting like one. It's basically a sister server, a seperate server, which we will store certain files, mostly images, which are requested a lot.. thus balancing the bandwidth between the two servers..
