Movie-Vault.com is an established (10+ years) movie review website which has been linked from Yahoo.com, Movies.com, Excite.com, among other top sites. We have also been featured in newspapers and even a nation-wide television show, and receive over 20,000 unique hits (and growing) each month.
All staff at Movie-Vault.com are volunteers. However, that does not mean that there aren't perks to the job. Movie-Vault reviewers have received special early film screenings, red carpet invitations, and free DVD screeners (to review). Movie-Vault has also interviewed actors, film producers, directors, and film scorers. Some of our interviewees include Omar Epps, Mamoru Oshii, Gavin Hood, John Ottman, and Keke Palmer.
For our more active staff members, we even provide them access to watch free unlimited movies online to review.
You must have a strong passion for movies and be able to write a professional lengthy review (no less than 4 detailed paragraphs) of the movie.
We are looking for reviews that are not just a 'fan rave' nor a complete disparagement of the film but a discussion of some or all of the following: plot, acting, direction, characterisation, technological elements (lighting, CGI, animation), music, cinematography, and perhaps some of the ideas brought up by the movie.
You may like to put it in an appropriate context eg. sequel/prequel, literary source(s), historical accuracy, genre etc and should back up any opinions with examples.
Applicants must be able to write clearly and well as we strive to provide only high-quality reviews. We allow reviews of movies past, present, or forthcoming (previews), and allow duplicate reviews. However, with over 2,500+ movies already reviewed in the vault, we encourage reviewers to review movies that are new in theaters or are forthcoming.
