This not very known film is about a futuristic way of delivering data. They use men turned into what they call couriers. They have there long term memory part of their brain replaced by a high capacity implanted chip. This chip then is used to store data from their clients.They then have to deliver the message. But the message is hard to deliver with people trying to kill you. This movie is actually about just one of these men. His name is Johnny Mnemonic(Keanu Reeves)and he is going to try and deliver a message twice his maximum amount. That gives him little time before it will explode killing him. This movie was alot of effects and not alot of art. The script was poorly written and not even Keanu Reeves was able to help this. It was bad from the start. It seems like it was the first time some of the actors had seen the script. This movie also has another rapper trying to act. To make it worse they give him the name "J- Bone." Now thats original. This movie does have some good qualities. The effects they did spend all their money are different and maybe stunning. Also the fight scenes are realistic and fun to watch. My advice is pass this one up unless you want to watch a couple good fight scenes and see some interesting effects. Other wise this isnt worth a rental. Good idea bad production.
