The series gets much much more ridiculous with "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" as their baby grows up in a world where apes are slaves and are kept down by the white man. The oraguntangs, being the lighter of the apes, have slavery pretty good, but the chimpanzees and the gorillas, really get the bad end of slavery. Again, none of these apes look anything like apes, even though it's only about 20 years after when apes DID look like apes (excpet for Roddy MacDowell and Kim Hunter). Ceaser (the baby left with Ricardo Montalbon) leads the ape revolution by stealing a bunch of knives and making these slaves fight (for some reason the oraguntangs stayed passive and didn't participate in the final battles). The apes get their independance and Ceaser makes a speech.

This one is actually pretty decent to watch. It's thrilling and the whole animal rights activism is interesting. It's pretty well directed too. But it's painfully short! 88 minutes! You're just starting to really get into the movie by the time it ends!!

If you've seen the first three, there is really no point to watch this one. "Conquest" is essentially the movie version of all the stories told in the first three movies. the ape that comes and saves all the others apes from evil humans is something that is constantly repeated over and over again, especially in the third one where they go into detail about how an ape finally said "No." Of course there are no apes who say "No" in this movie. Just Roddy MacDowell as Ceaser who never shuts the hell up once in the whole film.
